The rooms

A building with a fascinating history

The story of number 5 Rue de l’Oisellerie began in the 1580s. This commercial building, erected at the request of a wealthy butcher, was at the time located on Rue de la Poulaillerie.

The house has undergone numerous renovations and restorations. In 1921, the street facade was listed as a Historic Monument. In 1962, when the Etienne family contacted the Angers architect Enguehard for restoration work, the monumental wooden staircase, the roof, and the courtyard facades were listed under the same designations.

In 2018, after nine months of renovation work and several years of planning, L'Oisellerie became what it is today: a charming guesthouse in downtown Angers.

The house's authenticity is evident in its decor. The charm of the past blends with the simplicity of modernity. You will stay in a unique atmosphere, blending wood and stained glass.

A kitchen to complete your comfort

You'll appreciate the kitchen in our house, which we put at your disposal. It includes a refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a freezer, and a kettle.

You can enjoy your breakfast there. During the week, you're welcome from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. A maximum of homemade and local products will be served at your table. This sweet treat, with its local flavors, costs an additional €12.

A boutique selling artisan products

At the entrance to L’Oisellerie, you'll find a lovely boutique. It features our favorite local products. This is an opportunity for you to discover the crafts of the town and region and take home a little souvenir of your stay!

The products on offer are specially selected for our guesthouse's visitors: you'll find handcrafted creations, cosmetics, and food products.

A charming house, just for you!

For group stays, with friends, or with family, privatize L’Oisellerie. You'll have access to the 6 bedrooms of our guesthouse, as well as the kitchen and the cellar, which can be used as a reception room.
